Why More Contraception Doesn't Work to Prevent Abortions (And Neither Does Sex Ed.)...

PregnancyWhy don't teenagers ingest contraception? A qualitative discourse study.(...)OBJECTIVES: To analyse the causes of inadvertent pregnancies and, in particular, reasons for non-use of contraception among young women attending a period organisation for preoperative abortion. METHODS: Women between the ages of 16 and 20 attending a period organisation at a hospital in the northerly of England who were cod to have, or had recently had, a preoperative failure were interviewed most their noesis of and views on contraception, stimulate education, and sexed health services. Twenty-four young women were interviewed, 22 on the period unit, digit in her home and digit over the phone, after the abortion. Interviews were transcribed with the consent of the interviewees and fully transcribed. Transcripts were analysed using a grounded theory approach. RESULTS: The most ordinary reasons for non-use of contraception attendant to forgetting or 'not thinking', existence 'in the moment' (i.e., existence 'in the mood', not wishing to 'break a spell'), the influence of alcohol, and pressure from young men not to ingest condoms. Lack of noesis was rarely cited as a reason. CONCLUSIONS: Young grouping are aware of the requirement to ingest contraception, and experienced most its availability; however, they often do not think most using it, especially where stimulate is unplanned. Alcohol and existence 'in the moment' are key factors which diminish the probability of contraceptive use.Pregnancy helper
